Deploying High-Quality Instructional Materials (Module 3): Implementing your HQIM
In unit three, participants will delve into the investigation of high quality instructional materials for English/Language Arts. Lessons will examine the components of what exactly makes a reading curriculum be considered high-quality and teach participants how to independently evaluate ELA materials. Later lessons within this unit will consider instructional practices, including an emphasis on the science of reading, that are necessary for the effective implementation of reading HQIM. Lastly, the information in this unit will help educators recognize and apply the planning and preparation protocols that are required when implementing their high-quality reading curriculum.
