Supporting Student Social & Emotional Wellbeing (Module 3): ADHD

The goal of this unit is to understand the clinical diagnosis of ADHD, including its symptoms, subtypes, and evidence-based treatments. In this unit, you will see how the ADHD diagnosis impairs executive functioning, and has been linked to childhood trauma. You will also explore the ADHD diagnosis in females and the African-American and Latinx populations, to learn more about how ADHD in these groups. Lastly, you will investigate ways to support students in your classroom with the ADHD diagnosis socially, emotionally, behaviorally, and academically.
